I never know how to make sense of these sorts of things, and yet it always moves me greatly when events like this bring out the best in us. The entire planet (yes, even folks in the Gaza strip, who have their own challenges) seems to rise out of selfishness and say "we have to help", and everyone does just that.

Out of this terrible tragedy, I am just hoping that some good can come. Perhaps poor, neglected Haiti will finally get the attention that has been needed for so very long.

It's so sad that it takes such a tragedy to get people to take notice, and care. We're all so wrapped up in our own lives.

Ah, I just try and find the good in everything, even shit like this.
